Why are Prophecies Zaishen-missions rewards so low?
I am wondering why there is such a big difference in the rewards for Zaishen missions, especially the Prophecies missions.
The Prophecies missions are much longer than the average time for any other missions... today i did Frost gate and it took me apx 40-45 minutes. The reward was 74 zaishen coins (HM) en 250g. Yesterday we had Abaddon's Gate... my longest time was 8 minutes (shortest 5 minutes) and the reward was 150 zaishen coins, 500 lightbringer points and 1k. So what is the reason that the rewards for Prophecies missions are so low? IMO you cant say that Prophecies missions are easier (with a balanced team every mission is "easy")... |

Well, in your example, Abaddon's Gate is the final Mission of Nightfall, and Frostgate is at 1/4th of Prophecies. I suppose the reward is connected to how far into the campaing you should be when playing a mission, not the difficulty per se.
Also, some people would find Abaddon's Gate hard indeed. |

because prophecies missions are old.
They are easier with all the additions we have had in game since they were designed. |

Also, the rewards are scaled according to how far they are into the campaign. The difficulty and time required are not factored in.

i agree that the rewards for proph are a bit low. considering theres no reputation rewards for the quests (since there are no rep titles in proph) , it seems especially pointless for me to do these again

Curse of the Nornbear, Tihank Orchard, Abbadon's Gate, those are money missions if you are trying to grind zoins. |

The rewards are low b/c GW has been largely neglected by devs.

They aren't low. They are just scaled as not to compete with a good UWSC.

I took a rit through proph in under 3hrs. That should give you an idea how hard it isn't with that particular class. Probably took me 15 mins to roll though Hell's Precepice in NM.

I think also the fact that Proph just has a lot missions when compared with other campaigns, a lot more of them are in the crap reward bracket. I hate proph Z mission day, usually don't do it, the missions take 45mins and are so excruciatingly boring its amazing. And to top it off when your done and you turn in ur Z-Coins ur left with ONE copper left over.... I mean couldn't they make it 75 coins?? 74 come on ....

i don't get it either i think some of the missions in teh ring of fire islands or southern shiverpeaks still only gave 500g as a reward, and you get a bigger reward for killing a boss which is usually easier.
(and about abaddon's gate- its not easy if you have 7 torment claws spawning right next to your hench monks ) |

Some are a little low but those are mostly a walkover for a party.
I just wish it wasn't going to take me so long to get the large equipment packs because that's all I am after and that's a whole lot of coins. Fun doing some of the older missions though, a double zaishen coins weekend would be fun too. |
